I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Food Lion (Woodbridge, VA) in Jun 2014
Interview
Very simple interview, called me in the day of the interview. Apparently somebody left them without notice and hired me on the spot. Sat with two managers who threw random questions at me one at a time.
The interview was pretty much a regular and easy experienced. I was not asked any questions that were difficult to answer or required much of a thought process beyond common sense.

Question 1
Do you have experience as a cashier and with money?
Straightforward online interview with minimal in person. Questions online, followed up with phone and some final in person admin work. This was a pretty simple process that required very little time and investment on my end.
Came into the store and met with the manager who asked me about myself and my experience, asked a few questions relevant to the job, told me about the job and the onboarding process, asked if I had any questions, then started the necessary hiring paperwork.
