I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (London, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
I submitted my CV online with no cover letter and two days later I received an e-mail to arrange a telephone interview.
During the telephone interview, a lady explained to me what the company does, she also asked me some questions about my educational background and I had to tell her about a challenging situation I had experienced working in a team.
I was invited to attend an interview at their London office. Firstly, I spoke with a lady who had been working for the company in India for several years, she was rude, unfriendly and gave me a very unprofessional image of the company. She also made it very clear that I would not be dealing with clients and that the job consisted in cold-calling 'experts' to persuade them to do consulting for the company. The second interview involved a role play - I had to convince an 'expert' to join the company. During the third interview I had to do a very simple case study (supply chain). I had to think of 'experts' that would be involved at every stage of the chain that I could contact.
It is not a call centre, you are a 'researcher' because you need to find on Google and Linkedin who you are going to cold-call.
In my opinion, the only good thing about the position is the salary: 27k + bonus.
Very unprofessional company and team, I would personally never reapply or work with that company in capacity both as an applicant or client. I have nothing more to say regarding the experience.
