I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gap (Louisville, KY) in May 2011
Interview
I was called in for an interview and scheduled it for the following week. I interviewed with the store manager and it was probably one of the shortest interviews I had ever had. I was asked very generic questions but answered them pretty well. Some of the questions were, "When was a time that you had to give fashion advice to someone" and "Describe a time you gave exceptional customer service." Most of the interview was making sure I understood that I had to sell the Gap credit cards and that was what my hours would be dependent on.

Question 1
"When was a time you had to give fashion advice to someone"
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
