I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied for an audit internship through our on-campus recruiting portal. I interviewed in late to mid March on campus with a Partner. I was invited to two recruiting socials before I was given on office visit invitation. At the office visit, which took part in May, we were given a buddy who showed us around, had lunch with us, and took us to our interviewers. I was interviewed by three total people (Two audit managers and an HR manager). Two of the interviews were casual and conversational. The other one, I was asked behavioral questions. I was given an offer on-site.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to meet a harsh deadline, how you approached it, and what the end result was.
The first round of interviews was a group interview with four people, followed by an English essay. Neither the interview questions nor the essay topic had anything to do with auditing, and the interview questions seemed to be fixed; some interviewees even knew the questions beforehand. If that's true, I think it's unfair.
The interview process at Grant Thornton typically involves multiple stages, including an initial phone screening, a behavioral interview, and a technical or case-based assessment. Candidates may also meet with managers or partners. The process emphasizes cultural fit, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, often concluding with a final round or offer discussion
