I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2016
Interview
I applied and was asked to do a phone screen two days later. I was asked to start off the interview by telling the recruiter about myself, why I'm applying, how I heard about the position and what makes me a good fit. I thought those were a lot of questions to answer to start off the interview, but I gave it my best shot. There weren't many questions about how my background related to the position, but a bunch of random scenario questions. There were also a lot of long pauses from the recruiter and it made me feel uncomfortable. Maybe it was a test, but it made the call very awkward and the conversation didn't flow very well. I also had the close the conversation, which I thought was strange too. I would have liked to speak or meet with someone different.
