I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA) in Mar 2019
Interview
The recruitment process started out with a tour of HubSpot's gorgeous Cambridge campus. I participated in a total of four interviews - one technical employee, three recruitment/employer branding employees. It was a very professional interview process - the team was super intelligent and asked great questions. It was a good balance of structured and unstructured interviews. I was very impressed with the tenure of the team, too -- most of my interviewers had been at HubSpot for 5+ years, signifying how good the company must be for career pathing and development. One of my interviewers was leaving the company not for another job, but to go to business school.
Ultimately I decided to withdraw from the recruitment process because I realized the role wasn't a great fit for me. I was dreading letting the recruiting team + hiring manager know about my withdrawal, but minutes after I hit send on the email, the team responded saying they understood and wished me the best of luck. I think this speaks volumes about HubSpot's recruitment process and brand overall. I really appreciated the humanity. I think this would be a great role for the right person.
Thanks for taking the time to write a review, for your kind words about our team and process, and for being so reflective during the interview process and making the right choice for yourself. Best of luck as you consider your next steps in your career, and don't hesitate to come back to us if and when the timing and opportunity is right!
Best,
Becky
