I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at IKEA (Centennial, CO) in Oct 2022
Interview
Was contacted by their recruiter to set up an interview. Arrived to the interview and spoke with a nice gentleman who informed me the people I was there to interview with per the email had already left for the day. Thankfully the lead was available to interview me but that wasn't ever communicated with me prior to the interview. He was nice and the interview was short and sweet. I received a low ball offer the next day and attempted to work with the recruiter for a more appropriate hourly rate. She could not provide a detailed response as to why I was only being offered a rate at the 42nd percentile despite having over 15 years of experience in customer service rolls (up from the 20th percentile - a difference of less than $2). I was also informed that 75% of that department is at the 42nd percentile or LOWER. I asked to speak with a supervisor multiple times for a more clear answer and was denied. I was told "If you are not interested in the position, please reject the offer." all over trying to get a more in-depth explanation about their compensation model. The recruiter made it very clear that the offer presented to me was final and I was not worth any more. I need a short term part time job to help financially otherwise I would not have accepted the offer. I already feel extremely devalued and pushed aside as to say I'm not worth their time and I haven't even started yet.
You sit with a manager and they ask you questions about your past job experiences and other questions and then ask you take drug test if you pass. There is also a phone interview before the interview to determine if you go in for the job interview.
