The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Independent Capital Management (Irvine, CA) in Feb 2011
Interview
First was called by an HR manager and asked a few basic questions about why I was applying for the job, what I expected from the position, etc. Was asked to come in to a group interview. Once I arrived, there was a variety of 25 different people of all background and we were given about an hour and 30 minute intro. The intro seemed more like presentation on why you need a financial adviser or why you should not invest with banks. The girl presenting gave some completely skewed numbers of how much financial advisers make and dodged every possible question about how much their advisers make on average, and what the average first year earnings were for their advisers. After the group panel "interview", each candidate was taken in one by one and interviewed for no more than 5 minutes. I was asked to come back for a second interview.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Independent Capital Management in Jun 2017
Interview
Two days of interviews. The first day began with a group presentation then proceed into short individual interviews. (You are not informed prior that there will be a group portion the first day.) The group presentation was a little strange because the company provided material explaining how great the company was. That along with the presentation, it appeared to be selling us on it. It seemed like a good company. Although I had applied, I found it odd that the company had invited the room full of candidates through an online resume search.
In the individual portion, little time was spent on my qualifications. I was invited back for a second interview which would describe the pay structure and whether they thought I was a good fit. With asking the right questions, I felt like the staff was truthful. I was offered a second interview, but I declined.

Question 1
Aside from helping people why else would this opportunity suit you?

Interview
Went in expecting an individual interview just to be brought into a group "seminar" in which they sold the company instead of listening to us sell ourselves. It was extremely odd. At the end, they asked each person a couple questions individually and passed us to the next round (the individual interview). The individual interview was also extremely simple- the question that made me question everything was when they asked us who we would sell our services to. They basically want to use our personal contacts which I am not willing to do.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Independent Capital Management (Ontario, CA)
Interview
Got an invitation from the career fair, showed up to the interview. There was a group interview with 6 people. First of all, we had to fill a form. After that, we had an one-hour presentation about how the company worked. Plus 1-2 mins for and individual interview. 2-3 questions and you are free to go.
