    Interview

Phone interview with a recruiter -- questions about background & work history.

On-site interview with recruiter, technical lead, and vice president of BI group.

Mostly behavioral questions, some technical questions, & background / work history stuff.

Prior to the tech evaluation there is a SQL test which you will be provided materials to study.

The overall experience isn't too painful -- mostly casual & laid back after the SQL exam.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Information Control Company.

    Interview

I first talked to a recruiter, over the phone, who went through the interview process with me. Followed by meeting the recruiter and talking at ICC's office, taking a short test, and then meeting one of ICC's technical leads who interviewed me.

There was a major focus on my past experiences and getting to know me as a person. They didn't focus on technical questions like other consultant companies.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Information Control Company (Columbus, OH) in February 2016.

    Interview

Phone call with recruiter. Tech interview. On site interview.

Very bad experience. Job title kept changing. Felt the recruiter was hiding something. Pressed for a number they weren't happy with. Long delays with no information.

Finally called it off when job description/title changed for a second time. Felt very bait and switch like.

Feels like the recruiter is not honest with what they have to offer and hiding things from internal people also. Avoid.

    Interview Questions

    • Lots of technical questions on the tech screen. Mostly easy. Interviewer just asked about current things they have difficulty with. Not well prepared.   Answer Question

    Senior Consultant Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Cleveland, OH
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Information Control Company (Cleveland, OH) in September 2016.

    Interview

I interviewed with ICC and their client for almost 2 months starting from September, 2016. First of all, they were not transparent about the position and the delay in the process. I scored well in the client interview and they wanted to bring me onboard but ICC kept me waiting for a final decision for another month. The communication between them and their client is appalling. Finally, ICC told me that all the positions went on hold indefinitely. When the recruiter initially called me, he made it sound like this position would be filled as soon as possible because of demand whereas in fact, he made me waste 3 months which I could have invested elsewhere.

I have made the decision that I would never work with such an organization ever which does not care about the time and efforts of candidates.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Information Control Company (Cincinnati, OH).

    Interview

I was part of campus recruiting from a university. I had two rounds, one was incredibly technical and long, the other was more overall and behavioral. The technical round was very good and tested the understanding of application of concepts rather than asking us to dish out memorized answers. They were very quick in the response time as well.
