I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Jacobs (Warren, MI) in Oct 2010
Interview
Jacobs was very responsive and professional about the interview. I applied online after receiving notice via their email list about a position which fit my skills. I received a phone call from their Human Resources department a day or two later, and had my initial phone interview that week. It was followed up by a face-to-face interview the next week. I received an offer a few days after that.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Jacobs
Interview
Very easy and straight forward. Relatively easy questions but all recruiters were very helpful and open to me asking questions. The total process only took about a week or two before an offer.
Relatively straightforward. First interview was with a recruiter. Couple weeks later their was a second, hour long interview with a panel of engineers. The interview was highly structured, not much time for questions.

Question 1
Lots of questions about my specific experiences. Later was shown several unlabeled textbook diagrams and was asked to identify and explain what's going on.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jacobs
Interview
Three total interviews. First two with Jacobs supervisors and HR. The last interview which is called "meet and greet" is actually interview with the managers where you will be working. People get fooled by the name and mess up the interview. And people at Jacobs are complete bold faced liars, they told me multiple times its just a casual get together. But it is actually a formal interview.
