I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kiewit Corporation (Lenexa, KS) in Nov 2018
Interview
I had a brief phone interview with the recruitment manager and we scheduled an in-person interview for the next week. The phone interview went very well and the recruiter seemed very interested/excited for me to join the team. I interviewed with the recruiting manager as well as the two people I would be working with. They asked me very few questions and talked as if I already had the job. After interviewing with those 3, they brought another manager in for a one on one. He drilled me with questions that I didn't feel necessarily applied to this particular job. He would let me answer the questions and then proceed to tell me what I "should have said". I didn't hear back from Kiewit for over a month.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Kiewit Corporation (Omaha, NE)
Interview
It was pretty simple for me. I had a reference from someone who currently worked at Kiewit. I had a foot in the door because of this. I can't really speak on how difficult it would be if I didn't know someone who worked there.

Question 1
What are you looking to get out of this internship?
The person who attended the interview was late to the interview, I did not interview with who I was told I'd be interviewing with, and was ghosted after the interview, did not even receive a rejection email.

Interview
One on one interview with recruiter for about 20 minutes. I was asked weird questions about work place safety even though was applying for a finance role. Was scheduled for a second round but never got back to me.
