I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Sunnyvale, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
I applied at a university job fair. Had a short informal interview/meeting with the recruiters the next day. Then was contacted a month later for an interview on site in California with the space systems company.

Question 1
I spoke with many other candidates before and after the interviews. Some were asked some very difficult technical questions, such as transforming a transfer function from the frequency to time domain, but most weren't really asked anything. My own interview was so uninvolved that I was sure I was not going to receive an offer. But, I got the offer-- very strange.
Panel interview with hiring manager and several engineers on the team. Started with the program mission and how the role will fill the current gap. Questions related to technical skills on resume and what-would-you-do type scenarios. Overall, good experience.
Interview is straightforward and easygoing, they ask situational/behavioral questions that you should respond with in the STAR format. They also look over your resume and ask you about stuff on that.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Littleton, CO)
Interview
Mostly behavioral questions using star method, and some technical. Interviewed my the hiring manager his manager if I remember. But overall they were really nice and helped clarify the direction they wanted their questions to be answered
