I applied through other source. I interviewed at Meta in Feb 2020
Interview
I was reached out by a Sourcer for a Recruiter opportunity they have in the LA area. I had a really great conversation with the Sourcer about the role and the groups it would have impact on. At the end of the conversation, the Sourcer stated she wanted to set me up with video interviews with the different business units for the role. I was truly excited about this opportunity. I submitted my application online with my resume and followed up with the Sourcer a couple times to get an update on the interviews but I have not heard back.
I'm totally disappointed by the lack of follow up as I would expect either a Sourcer or Recruiter to let me know if I'm moving forward or no longer being considered for the role. I'm a Recruiter and I always make sure to let a candidate know if they are moving forward in the process or no longer being considered.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your recruiting strategy experience.
I was surprised at how casually a team of recruiters took an interview with a fellow recruiter. Given that I did not receive an offer, I suspect the decision to not move forward was made early because my interviewers showed a very clear lack of interest in what I had to say. One even spent most of the interview sending messages on his phone.
Panel of 5 interviews, all virtual and one to one. Each had a different theme, my recruiter prepped me in advance. Looking for candidates to use the STAR method and discuss past experiences.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a colleague.
Started with a recruiting message, followed by a phone screen with the recruiter to talk through the role, expectations, and gauge overall interest and alignment. Then moved to a virtual onsite with 3 additional team members.
