I applied online. I interviewed at Motorola Solutions (Chicago, IL)
Interview
I applied for the job on LinkedIn and the recruiter reached out to me asking to schedule a phone interview. There was a quick phone screening where he said I would be sent a technical screening through Codility. I told him I was currently traveling and asked if they could wait to send me the technical screening until the following week when I would have time to work on it. He said yes no problem then proceeded to send me the technical screening the next day. It was extremely unprofessional.
I passed the technical screening then the recruiter tried to schedule a 3 hour technical video interview with the team during a time I said I wasn't available. I was forced to take time off of my current job because the recruiter never replied to my emails about rescheduling.
After the 3 hour video technical interview the recruiter asked to schedule a 2 hour onsite follow up technical interview via a one sentence email. The onsite interview went pretty well. I sent a follow up email to the recruiter asking for clarification on the decision timeline which he never replied to.
I received a generic rejection email from Motorola 2 weeks later.
The team I interviewed with was great but the recruiter made the entire experience unprofessional and needlessly stressful.
