I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Mount Sinai Health System
Interview
They sent an email after more than a week of application and asked about the most suitable schedule for the zoom interview. The interview itself was brief. They kept on telling that they needed medical technologists because their staffs were already tired from too much workload. It was a zoom interview with the laboratory director and two laboratory managers from different branches. After the interview, they said that the hr will contact you if you get the position or not. Fast forward to more than a week, no email was sent. It would have been better if they gave an email because they said that during the interview. I sent a follow up email and they responded after a few days telling me the positions were all filled up.

I knew the person I was interviewing with and the questions were direct. Mostly discussed what was expected of the person that took the role. It was about an hour and ended well. I was offered another role elsewhere that was more suited to the position I wanted.

Met with directors and hiring managers. They are friendly and ask some technical questions. Didn't feel much pressure. Came in for 1:1 process then met with managers and had group interview. I was the only candidate that day. They sat me down and explained everything they do and what I would be responsible for.
