I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life
Interview
There was an initial interview over zoom followed by a group interview over zoom to describe the compensation structure. (I don't believe anyone was filtered out by the group interview.) There was then a final, in-person interview.
Before the initial interview, there was a questionnaire to understand your work style and attributes. Before the final interview, there was a questionnaire to help you form a preliminary business plan.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was a document that asked questions related to your plan to build your book of business. The interviewer asked questions about my responses to understand how I would approach the position.
Pretty simple with the recruiter, but their application process was poorly structured. It asked me about the 2 week gap period between my summer internship and starting college and what I was doing prior to that, apparently being a child was not really the correct response.
I had three interviews but all went smoothly. But be sure to have questions ready. They really want someone who is a go getter and determined to make it in this business.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Manchester, NH) in May 2024
Interview
It was fairly smooth first interview was mainly about me and qualifications. Second one was essentially a crash course on the position it was a little vague on the beginning being selling mostly insurance though.
