Immature interviewers. Non-transparent process. No feedback provided.
From the questions they asked, it was clear that the initial 3 interviewers had very little relevant experience. The 4th and final interviewer was not only inexperienced but also unprofessional. She started the interview by saying that I had submitted a well designed CV because "you just want to impress". Then, instead of asking relevant questions, she started describing her own experience, saying, "I too have worked on projects like the ones you have listed, I know about this stuff." Then she asked if I had any questions for her. I asked what the 3-month and 6-month expectations for the role would be. A standard question, but to which her response was : "The expectation is that you will do as you are told."
After 6 interviews, the role was given to a very junior internal candidate. I had got a sense this might happen and had asked one of the interviewers if there was already an internal candidate, to which he had responded, "There is always an internal candidate."
Then why even interview senior external candidates. Just to gain access to their CV and use it for internal org design purposes, is it.
