Three phone calls. First one was with HR, and covered general background and behavioral questions. The second one was with the director of the team I would work with, and covered more background questions plus a brief preview of what they had in mind for a summer project. A few days later, the third phone interview was with a senior team member with more technical questions as well as asking about how I would approach the previously mentioned project. Overall, very friendly, fair, and thorough.
