It was a fairly easy interview, followed by 4 weeks of onsite training. It is very simple so long as you pay attention to the training. Very easy to be successful.
- How well do you handle conflict?

I applied online. I interviewed at Royal Caribbean Group in May 2023
The first virtual interview was scheduled with the hiring manager. There was no phone screen with HR/recruitment. 15 minutes into the virtual meeting, I emailed the recruiters to ask if the interview has been rescheduled. They replied and said that the hiring manager had a prior meeting that went over. In other words, the hiring manager was a no-show and there was no heads up - I had to reach out to inquire about the no-show. This is incredibly unprofessional and an insight to how they value their employees and communication skills (or lack thereof) To make matters worse, they asked for alternate times of availability for another try at interviews. I responded and they never replied. Zero communication and zero professionalism.
- Did not move forward to interview as the hiring manager no-showed and the recruitment team failed to follow up.

The recruitment process here in Ecuador took me 6 months, I had to follow instructions given by a recruiter, I had to pay $250 for a previous course need: life on board, I had to manage to survive here in ecuador without a job,...I was rise up in a big hotel here in Ecuador I had worked since I was very young in my aunt's hotel, I had more than 13 years of experience,...The interviewer who didn't speak very well English told me she had been hired just 3 weeks after she applied, my experience as an Assistant waiter was before I had graduated from college 8 years ago...but I wasn't enough.
- What was your latest work experience?

Guests come tonight to complain about their bad experience at the restaurant, first, the guest has to sit at the same table with another guest, and the guest at the same table as them is wearing only a bikini with no clothes on, they have to find another table, then Ordered drinks, they gave them wrong, guest said the coffee she ordered never came, when they had cold food, the lead guest said she made eye contact with him, the person only approached the table next to them never agreed with them The table, the guest was very disappointed with the dining experience, the guest wanted to fix it, they didn't want to screw up the rest of the cruise

The interview process was so-so. 5 interviews - 3 video interviews, 2 in person. I got an offer. I wish they reduced the number of interviews. It wasn't necessary especially when I was asked the same questions.
