      Product Manager Interview

      Mar 13, 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Scopely in Jan 2026

      Interview

The process was very transparent and straightforward. I initially submitted my resume and soon received a call from the recruiter. During that call, she tried to understand my background, the kind of work I’ve done so far, and whether I would be a good fit for the role. After that, I had my first main interview with the hiring manager, which lasted around 45 minutes. This discussion focused on my previous experience, the KPIs I handle, the impact of my work, and how I approach product decisions. Following this round, I was given an assignment. The team gave me sufficient time to complete it and were quite understanding about timelines. The assignment itself was focused on solving product problems through product design and structured thinking. It had around four parts and was fairly detailed. It required doing root cause analysis, basic data analysis, identifying problem areas, and proposing potential product solutions. From there, the task moved into feature ideation, feature prioritization based on impact and feasibility, and finally thinking through the feature design and explaining the reasoning behind the approach. After submitting the assignment, I had two additional interview rounds. One was with the hiring manager where we went deep into the assignment. A lot of questions focused on my reasoning, the logic behind my choices, and why I approached the problem the way I did. The other round was with the VP of Product. That round involved discussing product problem statements and also talking in detail about the work I have done previously. She asked me to break down my thinking into smaller steps and explain how I approached different situations. After these rounds, I had a final interview with the GM. I received my offer roughly a week after the final round. Overall, the entire process from starting the interviews to receiving the offer took less than one and a half months. The process felt structured and transparent throughout. Overall, the interviews focused heavily on product thinking, structured problem solving, and the ability to explain the reasoning behind decisions.
