Had initial phone screen and then was invited on-site for an interview. Was then invited for a final on-site interview. This entire process took two weeks start to finish.
The initial interview was fairly easy. A few hard questions but nothing that a competent marketer couldn't answer.
The second interview was less formal, though with more senior people. They take you to the "nice" floor. Was confused as the job description seemed to change depending upon which junior and senior members you talked to on this team. Be wary that this is a "coordinator" role but they are filling it with 24 and 25 year olds-- people who are not at the coordinator level. The junior team members will try to tell you more strategy work is involved, but the senior team members seem to disagree. The seniors in my interviews spent a lot of time trying to illustrate the grunt work that is involved and seemed to suggest I might be over-qualified. I was.
My rejection email was copy and paste boiler plate and they told me I wasn't allowed to ask for feedback. Ridiculous, as I had taken two days off of work to interview twice and was referred by not one, but two current employees. I understand they might not want a paper trail with feedback but at least call? I can't help but think I dodged a bullet here. They were extremely unprofessional in expressing their rejection and it's clear this is not a company with integrity in their hiring practices. My advice would be to listen to your gut 100% throughout the interview process.
