    Connect Specialist Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Boise, ID

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at St. Luke's Health System (Boise, ID).

    Interview

I applied on their career portal for this position and was contacted via email to come to their group interview one week later.
The group interview was held at their business office on Shoreline in downtown Boise.
There were about 8 managers, and there were 18 applicants (16 women, 2 men) vying for 3 positions.
Each manager took one applicant and a team of 2 managers interviewed the one person and then they got to leave.
The applicant doesn't meet with all the managers, and some don't even meet with a manager who is actually hiring. All the applications/resumes are on the table and the managers just come in and grab one, so it's simply luck of the draw on who you interview with and if you get to talk to someone who actually has an opening. We're assuming that if you are fantastic, someone who isn't hiring is going to tell someone who is about you. Though that doesn't sound right ....
They have a list of questions but some interviews last longer than others so it didn't appear that all managers asked all questions.
There was no information given about next steps.
And as of a month later, there was no communication one way or the other thereafter.

    Interview

Meet with HR; they go over your resume and ask you the same generic questions
They contact your references and won't get hired until they get a hold of your references. HR will lie and say they contacted even if they didn't (you have to be diligent yourself and sometimes get your references to contact HR).

    BI Architect Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at St. Luke's Health System (New York, NY).

    Interview

My two interviewers played to good cop, bad cop game with me, and in keeping with that drama, both were deceitful. Bad cop guy continually interrupted me, repeatedly barked "No, you can't say I don't know; you have to try at an answer" and then gave a smack-down to whatever I offered up. Condescending and arrogant. Good cop gal was the more deceitful -- at the end she said "Heck, we're out of time, let's talk again," but of course that was BS; by the time I got online to check, sure enough they had re-posted the position and of course never followed up. The HR guy who set it up was similarly covertly hostile. The whole thing was unprofessional in the extreme.
