I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank in Mar 2025
Interview
After applying, the invitation to interview came more than a month later. After the interview with hiring manager in early March, there was no outcome until a completely automated 'the position has been filled, we cannot progress with your application' email in the middle of June!! The email would have been fine if I hadn't interviewed e.g. simply applied and not shortlisted for interview, but later in the process, there is a fair expectation of better and more personalised communication!
The interview itself was conducted nicely enough, but the timelines and communication outside of this was extremely poor. Once you interview someone and ask them to commit that time to preparing and interviewing, a personalised email is the least you can do as a measure of respect for their time.
around 30min, with combination of technical and behavioral questions, talked about the firm's strategic goals and test language fluency in Mandarin cuz the role covers client in China.
The technical questions is about corporate banking, things related to business sense and accounting.
I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (New York, NY)
Interview
The process went well, seemed like they were interested in me as a person. Had a great experience talking to everyone, 4 managers and myself, 2 hours. The interview process was welcoming and kind.
the interview process was easy and good, interviewers are nice and friendly, learnt a lot about the role, 2 rounds in total, no offer at the end. but it was overall a valuable experience
