    Claims Manager Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at TWIA (Austin, TX) in May 2018.

    Interview

Received a call from HR Marie around 8 days after applying and set a date/time for initial phone interview. During the phone interview with HR Marie she provided me with a detailed job description and a thorough outline of the benefits and structure at TWIA. We were able to have a stress free conversation about my previous job responsibilities and experience. Not too long after that Marie called to set up phone interview with the hiring manager. During the 2nd phone interview we had another informal discussion of my experience and knowledge and an overview of my background and I was able to ask questions on the job expectations. I later received a call for a formal face to face interview. On the way to the interview HR Marie introduced me to the VP of Claims where he took the time to review a copy of my resume and had small talk that made me feel very comfortable before heading into the formal interview. There were quite a bit of behavioral, skill knowledge, and leadership style questions. I left very satisfied upon completion of the interview. They were all very professional and accommodating and made the environment comfortable from beginning to the end of interview process!

    Project Manager Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at TWIA (Austin, TX) in March 2017.

    Interview

Initial HR interview telephone call. Face to face round table meetings with team members. One group looked completely uninterested, I suspect as they had already had another candidate in mind. Both groups read questions from a script, which doesn't indicate much of them. No follow up. Reviewing early comments regarding TWIA, I suspect I 'dodged a bullet'.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TWIA in September 2016.

    Interview

Interviewer knew very little about the insurance industry. Had phone interview one month ago and have emailed several times to get a follow up response on the status of my interview to no avail. If a company goes through the time to review your resume, have you attend a phone screen they should at least have the courtesy to email back and say "we've decided to move in another direction". It's just rude to not respond and not courteousPhone screen with HR after submission of resume to corporate website.

    Interview Questions

    • Basic questions.... salary expectations and discussion of resume history. No real open ended questions about business analyst work or industry experience.   1 Answer

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TWIA (Austin, TX) in May 2019.

    Interview

I was first contacted by the recruiter for a 30 minute call. I was told on the call they would setup a phone interview with the hiring manager. I was kept informed and sent scheduling information via email. I had an hour phone interview with the hiring manager a few days later. The hiring manager said that the recruiter would follow up in the next few days. The recruiter called the next week to setup an in person interview and to have me complete an online assessment. The assessment took about 90 minutes to complete. The in person interview was with the hiring manager and lasted about an hour. The recruiter followed up a few days later to setup a second in person interview with the VP of the relevant department. The second in person interview lasted about an hour as well. A few hours after the second interview, the recruiter called to extend an offer.
