Interview
It’s very lengthy process to get into Uline. It’s harder to get into Uline than Harvard university. Uline hiring process is a joke. Once you apply, you are called for an interview with HR and then you take an assessment or aptitude test. They say it’s not counted against you but it is. Just a heads up, pay very close attention to their instructions. When I was hired, there were at least 30 others in a cafeteria room taking the same test. Afterwards, they will either call you for next steps or email you a rejection message. If you move up to the next step then you will speak to the supply chain manager and then the night shift manager. But make sure to take days off or call out when you get to this step. There are going to be several interviews after the aptitude test. You have been warned! Then, you will speak to the branch manager of the entire facility. Many who worked with me say that if you make it to the branch manager, you basically got the job. But even through all that, you still have to pass the background check and pre employment drug test (i.e. pee test). Then, they will call 3 of your personal references (don’t put down your friends but do put down old colleagues and managers you use to work with). So that’s what it takes to get the material handler position for night shift.

You have to take 2 tests when you first get there. They are numbers tests. You have to get a certain amount done in a certain time. Thank you wait till they call you to talk to someone. The process is kind of quick. You take two tests for speed and accuracy, they give you a brief overview of tge job you applied for then walk you out the door. No drug test on that day.
