After submitting an online application, there was a phone interview with an HR interviewer. This included a brief discussion of the position being hired for, some standard interview questions, and a brief, low pressure, quiz section. In this case it was for an audio tech, so the quiz was mostly audio-based questions.
After the phone interview is an interview with hiring managers. My timeline was a little rushed, so I got a call and was scheduled for an in-person the following day. The hiring managers walk through your resume, ask some typical interview questions, then discuss the job more in-depth. Since I had five years field experience, this discussion was quite technical and included in-depth accounts of my roles, and equipment I had experience with as well as equipment I could expect to see. It is also an opportunity to discuss your strengths as a tech, and your tech experience (i.e. theater, live audio, corporatr events, etc.)
