I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Cupertino, CA) in Dec 2011
Interview
They interview consisted of a panel of employees (Team Leader, two of the three Associate TL's, and three team members). Questions were often standard: "Why do you think you'd be a good fit", "What do you feel like could be improved upon within the dept.", etc. The latter half was focused on hypothetical situations and how you would handle them. Prior to the interview you're strongly encouraged to meet with current supervisors, ATLs, your TL and other TMs to ask questions about what they look for in a supervisor, and if they have any advice about how you could become best suited for the role, and other things of that nature.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Philadelphia, PA) in Feb 2025
Interview
I was invited to be a Supervisor, so the interview it was just my TL and an ASTL. They asked my favorite leadership traits, how I would coach a team member that is doing a procedure wrong and how I would deal with an angry customer.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Pasadena, CA) in Aug 2024
Interview
I applied about a month and took them about three weeks to reach out to set up an interview. The interview went well to my knowledge. It only took 10 minutes or so. The questions weren't challenging. I didn't get the position, but it was a learning experience.

Question 1
If a team member has problems with the Team Leader and overhear the team member saying negative comments. What are the steps you would take to handle the situation?
The interview process was detailed. Depending on the store location, you have to complete due diligence, create an action plan, and then interview with store leadership , other supervisors and a couple team members. Get prepared for a good bunch of folks but just being yourself, being honest, and having personality will help the process.
