Sleeves Up™ for female leaders and those on their way!

Since our inception, RGP has been focused on cultivating greater opportunity for women in professional services. At RGP, women are provided with meaningful opportunities, nurtured and developed as leaders. In addition to being led by both a female CEO and CFO, women hold the majority of RGP's leadership positions.

"What I love about RGP is that it matches where you are in life with your future potential. In my 14 years at RGP, I’ve moved from recruiting, to expanding our Information Management practice, to serving as a Managing Director in our Orange County office and now a Vice President. I have never been looked at as a woman or a man, but rather as a valued and intelligent contributor. My role is demanding, but through balance, hard work and the flexibility RGP provides, I have been able to move up within the organization while being happy at home and productive at the office."

Our commitment to the Paradigm for Parity® movement

We are excited to be part of the Paradigm for Parity® movement, which will help us continue to achieve our inclusion and diversity goals with tangible steps and measurable outcomes.

Paradigm for Parity® is a coalition of CEOs, senior executives, founders, board members and business academics who are committed to achieving a new norm in corporate leadership: one in which women and men have equal power, status and opportunity. RGP is working to protect gender parity in our leadership by implementing the Paradigm for Parity® 5-Step Action Plan.

The action plan includes:

  • Eliminating or minimizing unconscious bias in the workplace;
  • Significantly increasing the number of women in senior operating roles;
  • Measuring targets at every level and maintaining accountability by providing regular progress reports;
  • Basing career progress on business results and performance, rather than physical presence in the office; and
  • Providing sponsors, not just mentors, to women well positioned for long term success.

This set of specific actions that, when concurrently implemented, will drive positive change and enable RGP to more effectively increase the number of women in our leadership positions.

In celebration of Women’s Equality Day and the 99th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, Paradigm for Parity highlighted two of our team members as  “women on the rise,” who are helping to change the face of corporate leadership.

Ellen Ourednik

Ellen consistently demonstrates a strong ability to serve as a “leader/doer” with a continuous improvement mindset. She effectively partners with sales leaders, talent team members, consultants and clients to ensure the successful delivery of engagements. Ellen served as a key member of a project team charged with a significant organizational redesign project including redesigned job roles and core processes and proved herself highly capable of leading her team through change.

Julie Shaver

Julie is an expert problem-solver. This is most evident in her innate ability to relate to and manage differing constituencies toward the accomplishment of a common goal. Possessing a high emotional quotient is generally recognized as perhaps the most important ability in leadership and relationships in general – Julie combines this important trait with excellent communication skills, a rare combination. Lastly, Julie challenges her own personal status quo, seeking vertical learning curves – getting comfortable in discomfort is the personification of leadership.

 Diversity and Inclusion

"We set the tone for diversity and inclusion from the top of our organization, beginning with our CEO, CFO and COO. We operate with dignity and respect for all colleagues and are proud to embrace all perspectives. The diversity of our voices makes us better partners and problem-solvers in serving our clients."

- Jodeen Howes, SVP HR

We are a reflection of the diversity of our clients and regions in which we do business, a global team that embraces different perspectives, life and business experiences. We believe that being a diverse and inclusive company is not only the right thing to do, but that it also gives us a competitive advantage and helps us better serve our clients.

As an organization, we believe that our human capital is our most valuable asset. We embrace and encourage all our differences—whether that is related to age, ethnicity, national origin, religion, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, political affiliation, veteran status, and all other characteristics that make us unique. We will continue to support and empower our team of intelligent, global-minded and diverse team members as we grow our company to best support our clients’ needs.

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RGP (Cincinnati, OH) in August 2019.

    My interview process consisted of several email exchanges, a 1:1 video interview, and a 2:1 phone interview. In-between these activities, I was provided background (via an exchange of documents) on RGP and the opportunity.
