    I worked at RGP full-time

    Pros

I enjoyed my time at Resources, they were professional and supportive at the assignment where I was placed.

    Cons

If you are between assignments for too long you aren't paid and may lose benefits. This makes it difficult to make the decision to work for them long term.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

RGP used to sell a large number of small to medium sized projects (5-6 years ago) and was a good place to work. Pay was good but as others have stated, there can be many months between projects and paychecks!

    Cons

RGP has lost most senior leaders in Seattle. I have personally known 2 people who worked for RGP in 2017: while they did get paid, RGP did nothing to sell additional work and never once visited the client (even when asked by the client). Phone calls take 5-7 days to return. Seattle office seems to care very little for growing or saving what is left of their business. Little to NO work has been sold by them in years.

    Advice to Management

Bring up your leadership team from San Jose or Los Angeles and either restructure Seattle or close it down.

    I worked at RGP full-time

    Pros

Nice people in local offices. Experienced hires only -- no fresh-out-of-school kids learning on client's money. Good benefits for staff & for consultants.

    Cons

Priced too high to compete with local staffing firms with similar talent. Very little training. No marketing support and with a three-initial brand that even clients get wrong (many called us, "RPG" -- rocket propelled grenade), it takes a LONG time to get traction with new clients or new areas within existing clients. Management is insular from the troops. Reactionary management style. Ruthless "severance" (if you get any at all) during a downturn -- shameful. No long-term vision or patience to cultivate the kinds of accounts they want cultivated -- everything driven by weekly sales reports.

    Advice to Management

Get honest with yourselves about what you really are -- glorified staffing. Up the game in training & marketing support. Treat people better on the way out -- they remember.
