They promoted over 120 team members in 2021 and are on track to promote another 120 team members in 2022. Team members are identified for promotional opportunities based on their demonstration of the company’s three core guiding principles – Do the Best You Can, Do the Right Thing and Treat Others to the Way You Want to be Treated. As a fast-growing organization with 133% growth in 2022, the organization has plenty of possibilities for those who want to grow with the company. Once team members have expressed interest in being developed, they are enrolled in a leadership competencies ladder roadmap through the Hospitality Academy. The ladder roadmap includes learning to lead yourself, others, managers, functions, and ultimately the organization. The goal is to take team members from entry level positions to directors either within a single brand or expanding their experience across various brands or divisions within the organization. Additionally, the company is focused on ensuring team members feel a sense of connection to each other and the organization, as well as reinforce purpose through ongoing communications with all team members through an app called UKG. Through this tool, the company requests ongoing feedback from team members once onboarded with the company and periodically at 30, 90, 180 days and annually thereafter. This helps to proactively identify any concerns and learn how to better meet team members’ needs. Ultimately, Thompson Hospitality’s success can be attributed to our commitment to ensure there continue to be growth opportunities for all team members, so that everyone wins. The team members can learn and grow their earning potential and the organization is able to provide greater services to the communities in which they serve.
