Pros

Persistence technology in the BIOS is a great thing. Window has close though, Windows 10 and Google providing free services will end this advantage.

Cons

Leadership, Management. Neither of which should be used to describe what's going on at this place. Most dysfunctional, amateur hour place I've ever seen. Been is business for 21 years and have 18 VPs of Sales..... Pinging Linked-In contacts should not be your sales strategy.

Trouble Ahead

Pros

Unique differentiator on main (and now only) product.

Cons

Recent announcement to divest companies purchased within the last 5 years suggests that the company made a serious strategic blunder investing in those areas and will be now be experiencing significant fallout. Company is a one-trick pony completely dependent on a seriously eroding PC business. Heavy investment over the last 5 years was made on products now to be divested, at the expense of products that remain. The company is left with a "dying on the vine" product that has had very little recent investment to keep it current or relevant. Senior management should get "F" for allowing this to happen. We all know what happens next. Costs will be slashed, employees will be let go. The bleeding has already started and many pink slips have already been issued. This will continue as things are likely to get much worse before anything gets better. At least they have a nice new logo.

Pros

There are some really great people there. You get to go to Vancouver or Whistler every year for kick off. Strong CEO. Product is great with a solid differentiator. That's about it.

Cons

The Sales culture is toxic from C-staff on down. Some RSDs are better than others and take more of a mentoring role in managing their teams. But if you get a bad one, prepare to dread going to work every day. Nothing you do or say will be right in their eyes, they take no accountability, and will not have your back. Frontline reps are held accountable by mid-managers when they themselves are not. Managers can have several bad quarters with no repercussions, but as a rep, there is no grace after a poor quarter. The operational complexity will kill any momentum you may have on your deals. It can sometimes take a month to get a quote to a customer due to operational inefficiencies. Any feedback on improving processes is met with resistance and an eye roll and you are now labeled as a disgruntled employee. Authenticity, compassion and leading by example is not what you'll find here. Instead, you'll be brow beaten on forecast calls that are never ending. Everything is your fault, there is no team spirit and if you don't like it, you can leave. You might even be told "I don't have time for you" when you have questions or need help. (true story) And expect managers to trash talk you after you leave (another true story). No diversity or inclusion initiatives. Pay is below market. Any of the short and sweet positive reviews you see are fake fake fake fake fake.
