    Pros

    Some nice discounts on outdoor gear, if you're into that type of thing.
    Cool environment to work in, nicer store aesthetic than a walmart.

    Cons

    customers often confuse very similar items that are on sale and get upset.

    The atmosphere was great, and everyone was down to earth

    Cons

    there was a lot of management movement, and my team would be without a manager for months at a time.

    Pros

    Coworkers are nice, benefits are okay, bonuses are great. They will train. Free gym, food is good. Clean.

    Cons

    Customers can be mean, hours are not necesarely what your told, and organization can suck.

    Advice to Management

    Let your workers know that their job will be based off of sales i was not aware of this until i got the job.

    I worked at Bass Pro Shops part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Customers are fun. Associates are great to work with. They give part time associates vacation pay if they average 20 or more hours a week.

    Cons

    They have pay caps that are very low. If a manager don't like you it's hard to work there they will ask other associates to let them know when you do even the smallest thing wrong so they can write you up. Loyalty means nothing to them. They let leads belittled associates and reward them for doing it. Some managers let the leads make decisions that should only be made by a manager because they are friends. There is 1 lead that harasses associates but the associates are afraid to say anything for fear of retaliation. They need to take a good hard look at what is go no on at this store. I would leave if I had another job. I would not give notice for they are known to let you go before your notice is up.

    Advice to Management

    Take a good hard look at the manager and leads you have get rid of the bad ones and make it a good place to work with out fear. Corporate needs to also look at the higher management in this store as one of them does the same. If he don't like you he will block you are every turn.

    Pros

    Fun working environment. Decent employee discount. Can work in jeans and shirt uniform is provided.

    Cons

    I'm sure every location is different. This location has no room for advancement. If your not hired into any management position, more than likely you will not be promoted. Micro managed.

    Advice to Management

    Praise your GOOD workers, quite picking your own personal Pet Employees for Monthly Recognition. It causes resentment and uncomfortable working conditions.
