I have been working at Bio-Reference Labs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Use of company vehicle to do route

    Cons

Dont pay overtime worked, do not reimburse expenses on fixing car, delay on getting uniform, stopped getting yearly driver's bonus. Hourly pay is low.

    Advice to Management

Please look more into what the courier does for the company than other departments and consider a well deserved raise and dont keep us on the bottom of he list which is totally unfair after what we go through out there to bring in your specimen to the laboratory.

I have been working at Bio-Reference Labs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Unfortunately no pros to comment on.

    Cons

Horrible management with questionable skills and lack of knowledge. Employees are terrified of approaching certain manager's because of lack of management. Knowledgeable manager's were laid off and company was left with very questionable manager's.

    Advice to Management

Please be respectful to employees. It is very unprofessional to call out employees in front of their peers and in most cases unnecessary. Please create a positive environment that cultivates productivity and not negativity.

I have been working at Bio-Reference Labs full-time

    Pros

Not much besides PTO and Benefits. Some individuals are easy to talk to.

    Cons

    - There's a severe lack of professionalism between the managers and the employees involved. From my perspective, there is a huge amount of favoritism along with neglect of employees. some have called employees out on the floor about personal situations: This repulses me.
    - I personally had been called out in front of everyone once because I did not have insurance with the company: I felt embarrassed and a bit frustrated that my personal information was thrown out in public.
-I'm seriously disgusted at how some of the management is run. I understand employees are a bit rowdy and don't want to come in to do the work, but the leadership there just doesn't care and makes it harder for those not wanting to work to stay focused.

    - Now I understand the managerial side: Employees typically do not care, and they'll retain them because no one else wants to do the work.
-Management can't really fire anyone unless they horrible screw up. Again, it really sucks when employees do minimal work, while others carry the load. Nothing can be done and it's understandable
    - Turnover is extremely high: Okay , understandable management has had issues with this for the longest time.
    - Employees just don't care. Management can't do anything about it and have probably exhausted as many options as possible. I sympathize in this department, and honestly... It starts from the top to really make a change.

    Advice to Management

    1) Favoritism is blatantly obvious. That's not okay
    2) Please stop calling people out in public. It's embarrassing.
    3) Honestly, read about the carrot and the stick.... minus the carrot. That's how management works. No reward for hard work, HUGE embarrassment sometimes for making mistakes.
    4) Never ending turnover... Can't help it if people just don't want to work there.
    5) PLEASE be more approachable. I see some people terrified of approaching some of the managers because of the attitude.

I worked at Bio-Reference Labs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are reasonable/ equipment was upgraded

    Cons

Management was very unprofessional and rude. The environment was very toxic. Employee's will always gossip about other employee's out in the public. Employee's were not friendly I will not suggest anyone to work here. Employee's and management pick and choose who the want to treat kind and respectfully regardless of how you treat others.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally and learn to respect others. Learn how to act your role. Train your employee's to be kind to one another.
