    I worked at Carson's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

costumers and coworkers had good days, which things would go smoothly from there.

    Cons

there would be worse days then others others would'nt click with me and I would'nt click with them and it was mainly the people I worked with.

    Advice to Management

    none

I have been working at Carson's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The hours are flexible

    Cons

Low wages , managers are not positive, and they can't wait to go home. They let you know that. It puts an employee in a negative mood at times

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that like what they are doing, and are positive. Maybe a little praise would be nice. We now have a new manager that is trying to be positive and sometimes brings in treats and appreciate s or work. I'm looking forward to working with her. She is always professional, and gives us putative feedback.

I worked at Carson's (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing there is not that much it's good for seasonal work but that's about it. It's not good for long term

    Cons

Bad management, too muchcatty ness, unprofessional, pay is all over the place. There are people who were hired with a college degree and got paid more than others without a college degree. Everyone has different wages even if you have the same title. I was paid more by 50 cents than most people that have worked there for years. There was no training. They expected you to go over and beyond and kiss there behind. Depending on which section u work in others that work higher end will treat you bad. Kept saying students should drop out and just work full time there

    Advice to Management

Change management and culture period. This is worse than most retail places that I have worked in

    I worked at Carson's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was never asking for more hours here. They give you exactly what you ask. There are no surprises you know exactly what to expect at a day of work here.

    Cons

Not always the busiest job. Holidays and weekends are the busiest days here but other than that sometimes your work is just standing around and cleaning.

Former Employee - Sales Associate in Saint Charles, IL

    I worked at Carson's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I think getting paid for the job might be the only pro. Also it wasn't as bad when you're working with people you like, but those shifts were far and few between.

    Cons

Everyone brought in coupons and they always had a long list of exclusions on the back so being the one at the register I would get yelled at when their coupon didn't work. Customers were always rude and management always blamed you when there was a problem.

    Advice to Management

Stop with the damn coupons. If you advertise a coupon then don't put exclusions on it. It's frustrating and confusing for both the customers and the associates.

    I worked at Carson's part-time

    Pros

    Employee discount, 30 min lunches.

    Cons

Poor management, dramatic co-workers, uneasy work-flow, no raises, too much pressure, no one does their part except for a few.

    Advice to Management

It is unrealistic to expect your employees to sell a credit card every shift, and a "Let us Find it." Most days are slow and it's unfair to employees that are part-time or seasonal working the dead hours to get as many credits as those who work full-time during the busy hours.
