I have been working at Client Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

My career with Client Services, Inc. has been an amazing journey. Over the past 8 years I have had the opportunity to work with great people and enhance my skill set on a daily basis. I started out as an agent and have worked my way up to a Senior Management position. The strengths and knowledge I have gained during my tenure here have been invaluable. I have increased my communication and negotiation abilities exponentially along with gaining an immense knowledge of credit and banking. These skills have been extremely beneficial in my career as well as my personal life. Thank you Client Services for the opportunities and growth you provide to your employees.

    Pros

Flexible hours and thats the only perk

    Cons

This place is the most unprofessional, incompetent, unworthy and unethical company I have ever seen in life. It is so cutthroat, they will even terminate an employee with perfect attendance, sturdy performance on a portfolio and
have met daily standards. Working in this disgusting environment, you will become callous, abrasive and unpleasant. The trainers are simply awful, bonuses are a complete joke and the managers will lie to an employee in a second. They treat the employees in such a sadistic manner, I cannot see how it is allowed for so long. I have only worked here for 5 months and there has never been a day where I left with a positive attitude. The building is also infested with pests (gnats, roaches and mice). Bathrooms are always disgusting. Such a miserable, depressing company. And the health benefits are terrible

    Advice to Management

Encourage and Listen to your employees when coaching. Maybe the turnover wouldn't be so high

I worked at Client Services full-time

    Pros

It was fast paced and if you get on a good file you can bonus after a few months. I met some great people.

    Cons

You start off the bottom of the bottom and are getting the junk and dialer calls. People get burnt out quickly or can't keep up with demand and strict QA guidelines. If you don't negotiate your pay right out of the gate you will be getting the bottom of the pay chart while someone right next to you who has less seniority is getting $3-$4/hr than you just for a base pay.

    Advice to Management

COACH YOUR PEOPLE! My first manager barely said anything to me at all, even when I needed and asked for help. I had to ask other colleagues. I eventually got a better manager (as management changes hands a lot) who wanted to help me because he knew he would bonus if I met my goals.

    Pros

Most administrative jobs are easy if you know what you're doing.
    Scheduling can be flexible.
You won't be taking your work home with you.
Management is beginning to make some changes.
Brad and several of the managers under him actually care.

    Cons

Management only values people on the call floor, and only a small percentage of them. You will not be one of those treasured few. They already have their favorites. No one else stands a chance of making even close to what they advertise.
All policy and benefit changes being made are, again, to the benefit of the call floor agents. No one else matters much.
Management will not hesitate to blame everyone but themselves for failures. Anything stressing your manager out will become your problem to fix.
High school lunchrooms have less politics and drama than most departments here.
Benefits are horrible and you pay far too much for them.
The president, Ron Langford, only cares about money. Everyone is expendable.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to value all of your employees. Listen to their suggestions if you want the company to survive, much less grow, another 30 years.

Decent starting hourly. Not terribly difficult.

    Cons

Really boring. I think it's the repetitiveness that is the most difficult thing to get past.

I have been working at Client Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can make your own schedule, competitive team atmosphere, management that takes an interest in your success, detailed training, great management.

    Cons

If you are not on an ultra file you are pretty much a button pusher. You will get occasional good pops if you are strategic. It gets very boring, some days I just want to quit due to how boring it is. Receiving a bonus is near impossible. The pay is very low, no chance for a raise in pay so make sure you negotiate a higher salary possible upon hiring.

    Advice to Management

I would have to say I think our management is amazing. I know some people that work there are not happy with the current management in place, I am not one of them. I've had nothing but great experiences with all of the managers on our files. They all really care about what's going on in your talk off and making you a stronger collector. My major issue is just the pay and the bonus structure which Admittedly is a really big issue for me. I had wanted to stay many years with this company but I don't see that happening since the pay is not a livable wage.
