I have been working at Core Laboratories full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits, holiday pay, 401K, etc.

    Cons

The work atmosphere here could be improved. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Only way to get ahead is if you are buddy buddy with someone.

    Pros

You meet some of the best people here most are very supportive and there to help rather it’s your HR team all the way down to you local manager. They hire you knowing nothing and teach you everything possible to get you out in the field to do your job safely. Everyday is presented with something new, challenges you to use your brain and actually think a little, you learn something new everyday and if you apply your self...

    Advice to Management

Invest in your management team send them to a form of Communication training. Come up with a correct fix instead of just assigning a new position. Focus on the target areas that we are lacking. Companies don’t run people off Managers do!!!!

        Doesn't Recommend
        Negative Outlook
        Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Core Laboratories full-time for less than a year

        Pros

Good benefits, competent employees, clean environment.

        Cons

Incompetent management is causing employees (like myself) to quit, leaving behind employees who either (1) don't mind putting up with incompetence, or (2) are having difficulty finding another job.

        Advice to Management

        Fire yourselves.

I worked at Core Laboratories full-time for more than a year

        Pros

The senior geologist were great, a pleasure to work with, and happy to educate.

        Cons

Basically everything else. Senior mgmt. is out of touch with people. There are many politics. If you want to advance be prepared to "brown nose". The entire environment is depressing, it seems as if everybody is looking for new employment and using Corelab as a "get by" job until something better comes along.
