Pros
Work life balance - almost never asked to work more than 40 hours - decent amount of PTO As with any company there are some very intelligent and hard working people, unfortunately most of them move on after being here a short amount of time
Cons
Compensations is well below market rate Leadership struggle with making decisions and when they do they rarely stick to it Sales processes constantly change and Account Executives are some of the last people made aware High turnover company wide and especially in the Sales Org Layoffs happened in September of 2022 - Leadership was untouched but they made a point to let everyone know that they were not receiving their bonuses anymore, yet no one received a bonus 401k matching is on "pause" for all of 2023 Massive amount of pressure put on Account Executives yet the systems we use are riddled with process holes and bad/outdated data Company wide meetings are the same thing every single time, "The company is doing great, leadership is great, you work for a great company, we are changing the education space for the better" If you've attended one company meeting youve basically attended them all What it all boils down too is this company is a FOR PROFIT company. While I do think they have a good product that can benefit kids, they are just profiting on a broken system and doing nothing to change it.

Pros
- Company's mission makes a meaningful impact in the world - Interesting tech stack - Good work life balance
Cons
- Below average compensation - Not much room for career growth

Pros
- Entry & Mid level employees truly care about the teachers & students - Genuinely a great product for students - Work from home was a nice perk - internet reimbursement (not sure if this is still a benefit) - cell phone reimbursement (not sure if this is still a benefit)
Cons
- No 401k match - Long hours without adequate compensation (expected to work outside contract hours with little options on flexing time) - Compensation not up to market standards - No professional growth opportunities - Discouraged to move throughout company even when interests and passions shifted Professional Development team had some wonderful talent full of educators who truly cared and were passionate about their jobs. Unfortunately leadership on this team from regional managers to directors thrived on playing favorites, avoiding promised promotions and stifling growth and talent of team members.

Pros
Strong values and commitment to student learning Amazing CEO with a heart of gold
Cons
Limited ability to advance in the company. Does not have a plan that addresses middle management leaders who need the training to help team members hash out conflicts, speak their minds, and find common ground.

Pros
Hands down best products on the market.
Cons
Once upon a time, there was a well-run organization with dedicated professionals who loved their jobs and were passionate about their work. The company was called Reading Plus. Internal systems were in place, morale was high, marketing was stellar, and the onboarding process was top notch. Until one day Reading Plus was acquired by DreamBox. The best, most critical employees left or were laid off, those from Reading Plus received little to no onboarding, internal systems went out the window, 401k contributions ended, and former Reading Plus employees were treated like ugly step-children. The RP & DB platforms didn’t work together, SalesForce was broken, sales projections became astronomical and unattainable. More people left or were let go, customers were left to deal with untrained and inadequate support. Teams dwindled, territories changed, and customers stopped receiving the “white glove service” they were used to. Despite all of this, those at the top made excuse after excuse as to why no one was hitting their numbers. Morale plummeted, and even top performers left. Fast forward to today. No one is happy, no one is appreciated, no one is hitting their numbers, and sadly, no one in leadership cares. This was, at one time, a great company to work for. I wish that was still the case.

Pros
Constantly learning is one of the pillars. Always looking for ways to improve.
Cons
Strategic mishaps have led to some missed opportunity in the marketplace. Seem to be back on track.

Pros
*Excellent product. *The "doers" level is amazing (if they stay...)
Cons
*Lack of ownership and accountability stifles productivity (and innovation) *If you don't live in Product Development / Engineering or Sales, good luck making a case to invest in your tools and people. *Middle management through VP level are largely veterans of the company who have had little development training and are not equipped to lead high performing teams. *Benefits are mediocre at best for the technology industry. *External branding does not line up to internal values. *Development and coaching is not a priority for people leaders (even though we preach to be all about life long learning...) *Folks early in their career struggle here. Mightily. *The EdTech industry is flooded with quality products due to the influx in demand of 2020. This trend will not sustain, and is DreamBox really a top tool against the rest of the options in the market? Debatable.
