- "managers that were promoted because they were there, not people who were actually experienced in management." (in 6 reviews)
- "Lack of communication between departments somethings leaves customers in less than ideal situations." (in 3 reviews)
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Important mission. Great people. Learning opportunities. Benefiting the community. Great values. Excellent scaling of compensation. Comprehensive benefits.
Cons
Dynamic, changing environment can be difficult for people that are not accustomed to high velocity growth.
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Commitment to diversity and strong products.
Cons
My company was acquired by DreamBox and they were not ready to acquire another company. Nearly a year later and there was still lack of knowledge about our product and department. Original DreamBoxers were treated with preferential treatment. There was little collaboration or communication from leadership and it led to an incredibly toxic work environment.

Pros
So many new hires you'll be lost in the shuffle Decent place to land until you make your next move
Cons
Crazy turnover in sales and marketing Tech/Engineering group...not accountable Ineffective senior management
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
- growth in skill beyond your responsibilities - coworkers are friendly and communicative
Cons
- only celebrates sales and metrics at company-wide gatherings - lack of growth in career and skills makes daily work monotonous - management have different level of power which makes some teams not heard
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Math product is great. Customers love it and the development team is constantly improving it. Can be a very collaborative sales environment depending on your team leader.
Cons
Pay is not at market rate. Do not receive much support with pipeline generation. You are expected to generate all new business. ELA solution is not ready for the market, but your quota will include it. No one is on track to hit their number this year. The comp plan and territories was revised this year to favor the company in every way. The percentage reps are paid out on deals went down and you are not paid out on the entire deal. Reps are not making nearly as much money as in years past and the new sales leadership team does not seem to care if reps leave. Reps are becoming numbers on a spreadsheet.

Pros
The people at DreamBox are passionate and amazing. Great PTO and benefits, pay is comparable to other companies. Diverse work force!
Cons
With the recent acquisition of Reading Plus our sales team has had a mass exodus.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
1- Insurance fully paid 2- Remote work 3- While wfh you receive a monthly $100 internet stipend. 4- Coworkers can be life long friends
Cons
Where do I start? 1- Pay well below industry standards 2- Raises “if” you get one are well below inflation or the cost of living. 3- The only team recognized for their hard work is the sales team. 4- You won’t receive your bonus from the previous year if you aren’t with the company in March when they pay it out. They don’t have any language that speaks to that and they won’t tell you until you send in your two week notice. Don’t quit until after March :) 5- Expect your director to promise things then quit or get fired within a year or two. If you accept this job plan to leave within a year max!!! 6- No growth opportunities within the CS Dept. 7- Expect one title but do work for 3-4 different titles 8- The culture is cult like.
