Pros

Basic Sales Training (good for first timers), Remote Position, No Weekends

Cons

This company has the worst "culture" of any sales organization I have ever been a part of. The "product" we sell to service providers and small business owners is borderline a scam. Our goal as sales representatives is to hard-close these small business owners into a 12-month contract, where they'll have to pay 35% of the remaining account balance if they choose to cancel. Every sales rep at this company overpromises, and our product always underdelivers. When you see the inside of this sick machine, it's very obvious why the vast majority of people who sign up with us never renew their contracts. It's sink or swim here, and they know it. They hire 100 new poor souls every month, but you aren't a true sales professional here; you're a glorified appointment setter. Once you "graduate" to your team, your manager will most likely force you to live transfer your best leads to the most tenured rep on your team, so they can close the deal and eat up half of your commission. During training, a bunch of power-tripping grown babies will be screaming in your ear while you try to pitch a marketing campaign to service providers. The script is horrible. The clients hate you. You aren't allowed to even give an example of price until the very end. Nothing here is honest, and they even bragged and boasted during our training that the script was "written by lawyers." You can't make this up. It's now obvious why Angi Inc. was involved in that lawsuit for deceptive sales practices and why we had to rebrand. I could go on and on. If you have any sales experience, stay away from this place. I am absolutely embarrassed to work here and have been looking for a new job since the second week of training. This company is heading down a bad path, and they are already looking at ways to replace sales reps with a new online enrollment feature and upcoming AI integrations they have planned. Do not work at this sad excuse of a sweatshop.

Pros

It’s work from home. Two 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch.

Cons

They are a very dishonest company. The hype up the job but in reality what you’ll be doing is spending all day calling random numbers in which about 95% of those people either won’t answer the phone or if they do, you will be hung up on within like two seconds. Not to mention the Angie reputation is so bad. It’s actually notoriously bad that even if you are able to get someone on the phone for more than a couple of minutes they’ll still end up hanging up just because of how bad Angie is. In my opinion Angie is a dishonest company selling a dishonest service because most of the leads they sell are fake and most of the leads they give their employees to call are also fake and if you don’t make these outrageous sales numbers you’re fired it’s a reason why the employee benefits don’t kick in until three months in because they know 95% of the people they hire won’t still be working there in three months because they will not hit the sales quotas. The only good thing about this job is its work from home really. And the hot leads they say they have 95% are fake or just someone who looked at a spam email. It’s actually comical how deceptive this company is.
