Pros

Coworkers. And if you are in the field, the car is a nice perk.

Cons

Pay and work load. Your reps are overworked and underpaid considering what they encounter on a daily basis. Since I left, they have had a hard time filling my spot.

Pros

-Job security, they have never laid anyone off -Company culture, depending on your department. My departments outside of underwriting were amazing.

Cons

- Benefits and pay, lower than industry standard. They never did a cost of living adjustment in the 7 years I was there. Even when inflation was at an all time high, when asked about a cost of living adjustment, management would give the same answer of “HR is looking into it”. And then nothing happened. Expect to get a 2-3% raise each year with no cost of living adjustment. -Company culture, depending on your department. I would not recommend any POC to apply to an underwriting position.
