In my opinion the culture in claims is absolutely toxic. My impression was you are expected to do the work of 2 people (they brag about AO employees being twice as productive). The situation itself is stressful, and micromanagement and procedural redtape that changes constantly is moreso. One of the jokes in PIP was you become an alcoholic or take pills for depression...or both. You feel judged for taking sick time for yourself/family because you get talked to if you take more than the average, not even using all your time. I was vastly underpaid based on other companies, which, surprise, also have benefits. The lack of diversity is concerning and doesn't make sense given the demographics of the area. If you're looking for good work life balance do not do this role. Other roles are ok. The best choice is to take your great training to a role with a different company with higher pay and less work. They want extra hours and also ...watch your login times to the minute. I didn't have this level of oversight as a first grader. Management will comfort you with positivity instead of a transfer. If you're in, and it isn't for you, you have so many other options.
