Pros

Things have definitely gotten a lot better at Capco over the past year. The head of the office is a great guy who genuine supports peoples' career progression not only in terms of the work we do for our clients but also personally in terms of training, socials, networking etc. Overall there is a lot of opportunity to learn and progress through the company. The performance management and promotion procedures are very meritocratic as everything is heavily scrutinized by a wide range of people. I personally know of good performers who have deservingly moved through the ranks fairly quickly so I'm pleased to see good work recognized. People are also really nice to work with. There is overall a good office atmosphere.

Cons

There is a very aggressive growth plan for the company and there are worries that Capco will lose the people focus.

These are very robust processes, and a lot of time and energy is invested by those involved to ensure that all employees receive regular developmental feedback and opportunities to progress in their career. It's unclear from your post which office you are based in, however, we are pleased to hear that you feel there have been significant improvements and that you enjoy the work environment and myriad of opportunities on offer. Capco is continuing to focus on its ambitious growth plans, however, the leadership team is committed to retaining it's focus on our people. Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
