Pros

I truly have made some of my best Frieda at Groupon. They hire great talent. I really loved working with so many different of industries and types of businesses.

Cons

Most people who get hired get fired before they ever make it to the floor however they have a better training staff than they used to. The issue is the system won’t allow them to be as good as they are. Truly the main is leadership and their lack of ethics. There is way to do things and they do every thing chaotically and with totally disregard to their dedicated reps. Thought they hire well, they promote out of blind desperation. They usually end up firing the managers they promote. In that note, beyond trainees people in the floor get fired almost weekly. You build bonds with people only for them to be gone in a month. It really kills the moral in the build and it’s clear to see. They even have top reps who have said racial slurs to their coworkers and nothing has been done. It’s just really an unstable work environment. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemies. However, you can truly develop your skillset there if you can find the bright spots. Still, this is not a company you work at for a long time. You get what you need out of it and go! Oh and did I mention their commission is the trickest thing ever and they just changed the structure without clear guidelines? I forgot that part. It’s a rough situation at Groupon and I couldn’t be more honest here.
