Pros
I actually left in 2019, but Glassdoor only goes back to 2021. I need to re-up my status to see reviews. It was a fun job with minimal stress. Discounts were insane. Great customer base which was the main reason why I enjoyed coming into work. Company was inclusive which coincided with almost no dress code. I learned a lot about pop culture and hired some amazing people. I in essence found talent that I later recruited/hired for my current company.
Cons
The pay was low and I understand why. It doesn’t take much effort to run a store. It’s a starter job, not a career. I was surprised at how much favoritism my district manager showed towards her old managers when my district got merged into hers. That was my biggest gripe. The POS systems were dated and our focus on credit cards for a niche company geared towards teenagers was a KPI that brought me no joy.
