Pros

PSCU is a company that helps credit unions thrive and lives and breathes the credit union philosophy-People helping people. Excellent benefits, unbelievable paid time off and a culture that is changing for the better. Very health focused and many opportunities to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Employee's talk about the "family" atmosphere and how their peers are the most important part of their day.

Cons

Communication is still a struggle-departments need to work together better to support the company vision. Gallup Employee Engagement survey is a big deal here. Career pathing and succession planning was non existent and you were on your own for growth and mentoring, but there is a new focus and is getting better. Some sites have little or no presence in the community-hard to become a destination employer if no one knows who you are-invest in the communities and you will see outstanding candidates want to work for us. Pay is on par with comparable companies, but some roles are expected to be 24/7 and "on" all the time-this is burning out your brightest and best and they won't stay.

Pros

The company's culture is inclusive, they are very good at soliciting feedback from employees, they utilize Clifton StrengthsFinder, they are trusting and empower employees to be at their best. They offer Tuition Reimbursement and have Mental Health programs and several other wellness programs that employees are encouraged to participate in. PSCU is consistently working on employee engagement programs and DEI initiatives. The organization is truly caring of their staff. Employees are recognized often for their good work.

Cons

There is a tendency toward a falsely positive façade in my division. There are many system related challenges in the Contact Center, which makes it challenging to train new employees. There are times when poor behavior is overlooked and seems not to be addressed appropriately, or it is inconsistent. Often there are team members that are not recognized for their efforts and others that are not held accountable. There are times when team members let others take the work they don't want to do, because it is not work that is highly recognized.
