Plex boxed themselves in while pursuing an IPO that never materialized. Now a shell of what might have been, ownership seeks a new suitor. A talent exodus continues. Plex's product situation remains a mismanaged mess. Two ERP systems masquerading as one. Nearly the entirety of their revenue base is marooned on the old legacy platform receiving zero invest. With no clean path to the new, once loyal customers look elsewhere. As Plex pivots to a more modular strategy, their only integrate-able products are those acquired from the outside. Plex ERP itself remains impossible to integrate with, despite Plex having poured all engineering resources into the new ERP for what is now approaching a full decade.
