Pros

There are many career advancement opportunities within Wells Fargo. You can easily start off as a teller and then work your way to lead teller, banker, and then service manager in two or three years. After that, you can become branch manager. In my case, I'm currently looking for opportunities in the IT area, and there are countless opportunities there once I graduate.

Cons

On the retail banking side, Wells Fargo seems to focus too much on sales. That puts a lot of pressure on the employees to sell their products and services, and advancement is often dependent too much on how well you can sell. For example, if you are a teller and want to advance to a service manager position eventually, you'd better be selling well.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
