I have been working at Entegris full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Steady work. Fair compensation. Very Good Health insurance. Other benefits aligned with peer industry median average.

    Cons

Work-Life Balance is poor, long hours.
High dependence on long term employees for tacit knowledge on legacy products and manufacturing best practices.

    Advice to Management

Reorganizing every 12 to 18 months will not solve inherent product development issues nor competitiveness in the markets-industries we serve. Management must hold it self accountable and align resources; tear down department silos from within.

    Cons

I cant think of a Con for the program.

    I worked at Entegris full-time

    Pros

Good people, broad range of opportunities to explore if you want

    Cons

not the best work/life balance at times, global company with main offices in US and Asia requiring early morning and late night calls and emails

    Advice to Management

need better plans for new hires on training and exploring growth potentials for talented people to keep them

I have been working at Entegris full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great people at work with a friendly culture.
    - Good chance to learn about the semi-conductor industry and how competitive it is.
    - Few good managers who are great to work for and you learn a lot.

    Cons

    - Expect to do long hours as a normal, no acknowledgement or appreciation for that. It's the norm.
    - Compensation is not at all competitive vs the market, especially if you have been with the company a while.
    - No real interest in career development and letting employees know where the company sees them going.
    - Healthcare went from a pro to a con with insurance premium rising sharply and HR deciding to not tell anyone about it directly. You will find out about the 80+% rise in your premium when you log in and enroll for next year's plan. Guess it's not important enough to give employees a head's up about.

    Advice to Management

    - Try to care more about your employees and hire more people where required rather than expecting them to work more for poor pay.
    - Create more opportunities for employees to learn new things and grow. Not silly learning modules online, One can go to edX or coursera for that.
    - Learn to acknowledge the hard work and dedication from employees in the company, not just those who do the big projects and stuff that directly impacts the bottom line. They are not the only ones who keep the company ticking.
    - I can feel a change in employee attitudes, and there has been a lot of frustration building among employees recently.

I worked at Entegris (More than a year)

    Pros

    2008 Supervisor's s 3'rd shift we're actively involved.

    Cons

Production area ventilation was poor. And the employee's (Perm) did not work well with their colleagues as a Team structure.

    Advice to Management

Active Management is to facilitate in ALL areas of production. Not only being able to facilitate production, but also learning and knowing the processes but being willing and able to personally work each stage of production.
