I worked at Forward Air full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The Corporate Recruiting team in Groveport, OH is amazing! Everyone excels in their individual roles and helps to drive the success of the team, and the company, forward. This role was a great opportunity to get my foot in the door of the Talent and HR fields. I came into this role with no Recruiting experience, but the team and my direct manager help guide me and educate me until I was able to excel in the role on my own. This particular office is a close-knit team. I could always count on my teammates if I had a question or concern. This role offers a great work-life balance as well.

    Cons

The members of People and Talent leadership/executives can micromanage at times which sometimes left me feeling as though they did not trust me and my teammates' ability to do the job in which we were hired to do, however, as a leader, it is also important to know how your team prefers to be managed to ensure optimal success for the organization.
