Pros

Fun people to work with Downtown parking perks! Company benefits

Cons

As an ex-employee of GoFormz, I feel compelled to share my experience, particularly regarding the leadership in the customer success department. While there are certainly positives to working at GoFormz, including the innovative product and some wonderful colleagues, the leadership within customer success is regrettably toxic and detrimental to professional growth. One of the major drawbacks of working in customer success at GoFormz is the lack of support and guidance from upper management. The leadership within the department is not only ineffective but also promotes a toxic work culture that hinders employee growth and morale. There is a noticeable absence of encouragement, constructive feedback, and opportunities for advancement. In addition, there is a significant discrepancy between the company's values and the actions of the customer success leadership, notably from the director. While GoFormz espouses values such as collaboration and empowerment, these ideals are not reflected in the day-to-day operations of the department. Instead, there is a pervasive sense of micromanagement and an unwillingness to delegate responsibility. Overall, while GoFormz has the potential to be a great place to work, the toxic leadership within the customer success department is a significant barrier to employee satisfaction and professional development. I would caution prospective employees to carefully consider these factors before accepting a position within this department.

Pros

Some great people work here, also a well built product. Office is a great space and location, also there are some good perks. A good place to cut your teeth getting into a sales career, but plan to move on in 12-18 months. If you're fortunate enough to work the Construction vertical, the deals will come in for you. Marketing is a huge team and good opportunities in this area.

Cons

This company is completely marketing driven. The push for automated signups (free or super cheap accounts) is highly touted over a sales team bringing in higher value accounts. This business model leads to low growth and an astronomical amount of customer churn. Focus here is number of new signups instead of dollars brought in. The company seems to have a high rate of cyclical layoffs, that don't align with the employee retention numbers they claimed in my interview process. The same few people get promoted again and again, others move elsewhere to advance their career.

Pros

Nice office location in downtown San Diego 4 weeks of vacation time that people actually take Some nice colleagues

Cons

The history of this company is a bit of a mess, as is their leadership here. Do your research before joining which I did not do as deeply as I should have. Most of the department heads are wildly unqualified and do not have the skill sets necessary to manage teams or do their jobs. Unskilled staff is an understatement. Very immature and high school sorority type of culture which is lame even if you are just a few years out of school. Who wants to regress back to freshman year of High School? My "leader" was completely incompetent and she would never be able to do her role at a high-functioning software company. There is also a crazy level of office politics here- for a company this tiny it is absurd. One exec in particular steamrolls the rest of the company and no one has the experience or fortitude to challenge anything. There is zero (zero!) people, culture or career management here so if you are looking to grow do yourself a solid and pass on this place. You be micro-managed by people who themselves have no idea what they are doing, which becomes maddening sooner or later (sooner for most). Do your research before accepting a role here, relying on HR reviews is not the way to go.
