Pros

Paid Time Off Benefits The amazing & talented colleagues you are able to work with (and learn from!)

Cons

Continuous changes in upper management The new CEO makes terrible business decisions that affects the entire office New CEO does not invents in his employees Merchandise is TOO expensive for the current market Lack of Training new employees Lack of communication Favoritism Long Hours (10-12 hour work days) No promotions or raises in years since the company is suffering in North America Upper management will only tell you what you want to hear so you don't leave Location of Headquarters: next to a metal scrap place so you will most likely get a few flat tires every year Parking lot is far from main entrance Leadership lacks knowledge & the ability to come up with new ideas Does not give hard-working employees recognition Only gives small promotions when people threaten to leave Upper management will transfer you to a different dept without asking you if its OK or if you even want to transfer Too many "rules" (there is even a rule card you have to keep at your desk) Dictatorship

Pros

Good cafeteria Good water fountains Pretty art everywhere

Cons

Honestly, a terrible company by far. I was poorly managed by an incompetent person who actually got promoted for doing a poor job. Management just takes your ideas and shows them as their own but doesn't acknowledge your participation or give any form of recognition. Most of upper management just slacks off while all the hard working employees slave away to have the company running. It's honestly sad after meeting so many people that I can only find a hand full of employees that actually lead by example, care about their job and their employees well being. For the most part it's pretty easy to tell that everything about Guess is going down hill. Furthermore, upper management is made up of politics gossip and a bunch of incapable and incompetent employees that don't know what it actually takes to "work". They push you to the edge of insanity and then they wonder why the company doesn't do well. Also, many people within management say they have an "open door policy" but that's actually a lie but they will actually give you a slap on the wrist for speaking up like they asked. It's a culture of fear that glorifies idiots for being lazy and sucking your soul.

Pros

none at all.. seriously 40% discount maybe if you like to dress like a hooker

Cons

Man where do I start? Told when to go to break, when to go to lunch, no company information shared, phone messages from the owners instead of a face to face company wide meeting,no structure, no processes, top heavy, inefficiency on every level, no organization, no planning, no growth, no security - here today possibly gone tomorrow without warning, funky culture, crappy systems, no respect, no reconigtion, bait & switch mentality and very very pretentious. Anyone reading this I am DEAD SERIOUS.. DO NOT WORK AT GUESS. I know they will make it seem very glamourous and sexy and fun during the interview process as if it is full of perks and growth DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE. They have excellent recruiting people that will pull the wool over your eyes. This company is NOT a forward thinking, professional, innovative, exciting place to work. They tend to hire over qualifed people for entry level jobs which will in a short time drive you up the wall because your skills and experience will not be in line with your position even though it was initially made out to be. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.. no joke. I would never in a million years recommend anyone to work for this company. NEVER.
